Once the seedlings have emerged, the ideal daytime temperature for growth is 65 - 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

When it comes to the plant's physical characteristics, Celosia has a spreading habit, growing 6 - 8 inches wide, and can reach a height of 24 inches. The maturation period for these flowers is around 60 days.

To ensure successful cultivation, it is recommended to loosen and enrich the garden soil to a depth of 6 inches. Once the soil temperature consistently reaches 70 degrees Fahrenheit (typically around June 1st in zone 6-7), scatter the Celosia seeds on the surface and lightly cover them with sand, fine vermiculite, or screened peat, as these seeds require sunlight to germinate.
